Wine festival in Veneto and Friuli

Thursday April 14

1430 Arrival at Venice airport. Pick up and transfer to the first winery
1530 Arrival at Ca’ Salina in the center of the Prosecco shire where we will be welcomed by Mr. Gregorio Bortolin, the proud owner of the winery.
He will take us around to enjoy the great view from the outside and will tell us the story and the technique of the sparkling wine production.
Right after we will comfortably seat in the tasting room and we will be delighted by the words and the wine.
1700 Departure from the Valdobiadene side heading toward the Vittorio Veneto hills, in the nice town of Refrontolo to meet Mr. Sante one of the three brothers of the Toffoli family.
There we will appreciate the difference of the two brand of the same wine. Besides, we will taste the Passito, a very special sweet wine.
1930 We will check in at the Due Leoni hotel in Sacile.
2030 The welcome dinner will be in a typical restaurant where we will have a chance to taste a Venetian meal.

Friday April 15

0730 Breakfast and departure to the Colli Orientali, a vineyard paradise, in the heart of the Friuli region.
0930 First stop will be at Perusini for a visit of the winery and the wine tasting.
1130 Departure and ride through the hills heading to Mario Shioppetto winery. There will be time of great whites.
1330 Lunch at La Subida, the tradition and the innovation in the Friulan food.
1400 Visit of the unique vinegar cellar nested in the wood in a unique construction.
1530 We stop to see Mr. Edi Keber, taste his wine and visit his blend wine: a name a wine.
1730 Back to the flat land in the Tagliamento plane. In Valvasone, a pretty medieval town, we will visit the Borgo delle Oche winery. In a nice place we seat with Mrs. Luisa to taste and talk about her wine.
1900 Back to the hotel for a nice rest.
2015 Dinner in typical restaurant

Saturday April 16

0730 After breakfast departure to the Collio area around Gorizia.
We will visit first the Damijan Podversic winery. He makes an incredible wine whose fermentation takes place in the presence of the skins for 60-90 days.
1100 We will visit the Primosic winery, and we will learn the peculiar way of the wine making.
1300 Light lunch will be in a traditional restaurant in the area.
1430 In the afternoon we will try large winery (according with the territory average). It will be Lis Neris.
1700 In the last winery, Vigna Petrusa we will have a chance to taste two of the prides of the territory The Schioppettino and the Piccolit.
1900 Back to hotel for getting ready to the farewell dinner in a nice restaurant in the area.
2200 Back to the hotel to get ready for the day after check out.

Sunday April 17

0800 Breakfast and check out. Shuttle to the airport
